Prayer for a Family Who Lost a Child

Prayer for a Family Who Lost a Child

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up a dear family who is grieving the loss of their precious child.

Lord, we ask that You wrap this beautiful family in Your loving arms and comfort them in their sorrow and pain.

In the moments when words fall short and the weight of the loss of their child seems unbearable, we ask that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, would guard their hearts and minds. Remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted, and You save those who are crushed in spirit.

Father God in Heaven, please provide this family with strength for each day, and surround them with the love and support of family and friends who will walk alongside them in this difficult time of loss.

Father, we pray that You would give this family who has lost a child the grace to lean on You and trust in Your goodness, even in the midst of their unimaginable grief. Let them feel Your presence with them as they navigate this painful journey, knowing that You understand their tears and are with them in their suffering. We pray for healing,

Lord, though we know the pain from the loss of a child may never fully go away. Help this family to hold on to the hope of eternal life, where there is no more death or mourning or crying or pain. May Your love sustain them, and may they find moments of peace and solace in You, their ever-present refuge. In Jesus’ name,

Amen.
