A Special Gift

The most amazing gift anyone could get is the one that Jesus gives. This gift is not material wealth or money but eternal life.

We must first understand that we are all sinners because we inherited sin's nature from Adam (Romans 5:12-19). Being a sinner comes with consequences. Chief among these consequences is death (Romans 6:23). This death is a spiritual death, which is a separation from God (Isaiah 59:2).

However, Jesus came and paid the price for our sins by laying His life on the cross. His blood washed away our sins and cleared our debt (Galatians 3:13-15). Furthermore, he offered us the gift of eternal life even though we don't deserve it. We are saved and redeemed only by His grace (Romans 5:15-17).

God's gift of salvation is free, but we must receive it by faith (Ephesians 2:8). How? We must believe with our hearts that Jesus died for our sins and confess that He is our Savior.

Being saved comes with a responsibility. It is to make sure that those still unsaved discover the truth and receive this unmerited gift of salvation.

Christ has saved us to save others. Therefore, we must go into the world as Jesus has commanded and spread the Good News about Christ and the incredible gift He offers (Matthew 28:19-20).
